Knowing and understanding your financial limits and buying power is key. Evaluating the qualifications of different loans will help to set budgets and plans which meet those goals (ie. paying down debt, saving for a down payment, getting gift funds).

Identify Your Approach

Once you meet the goals you set to qualify for a loan, then you want to identify a lender that offers excellent terms and the loan products you need (i.e. FHA, Conventional, VA, Rehab). It’s also important to know the lenders reputation in processing home loans.
